Interpreter

Professional medical interpreters are available to interpret for patients, family members and health care providers upon request. All patients who request this service will be provided with an interpreter at no cost. NeweYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell offers interpreter services in over 140 languages, including American Sign Language for deaf or hard of hearing patients. Our interpreters are trained to show respect for cultural practices and beliefs and to follow strict policies with regard to patient privacy and confidentiality.
