Building upon the success of their trial using Intra-arterial delivery of bevacizumab (Avastin) for recurrent malignant glioma, neurosurgeons at Weill Cornell Medical College have just opened a trial for patients with newly diagnosed malignant brain tumors. Neurosurgeons, John A. Boockvar and Howard Riina, MD are testing the safety and efficacy of intra-arterial delivery of Temozolamide (Temodar) for NEWLY diagnosed malignant glioma.
