Grant Award for Pediatric Brain Tumor Research
Dr. Mark Souweidane was recently awarded a $91,740 grant from the Cure Starts Now Foundation to support the collaborative research between Weill Medical College of Cornell University and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Hospital with a novel Phase I study in children with Diffuse Pontine Glioma (DIPG). This trial will be utilizing a novel local delivery system called convection enhanced delivery (CED) to administer radio immunotherapy to children with an otherwise incurable tumor.
